研究方向

  • 1.生態基因體研究
    基因體定序技術對於了解生物表型演化(例如局域適應與行為特化)的分子機制,提供了突破性的工具 。我的實驗室研究廣泛分佈鳥類的生態局域適應之基因基礎,以檢驗生態種化的驅動力。我們也檢驗分子遺傳變異與鳥類形態和行為特徵之間的連結,進而探討鳥類的輻射適應和趨同演化。
  • 2.親緣地理研究
    親緣地理學旨於發現生物的族群地理結構,並探討導致這些結構的演化過程。我的實驗室著重於古北區和東亞鳥類的親緣地理研究,並解決幾個相關問題:基因歷史與物種歷史的比較,族群分化過程中所伴隨的生態區位演化,生物特徵在鳥類群聚形成過程中所扮演的角色。這些研究有助於了解歐亞大陸的鳥類生物地理歷史。我們也使用基因體數據來探索鳥類(包括滅絕物種)的族群歷史,以檢驗造成其族群變動或滅絕的原因。這些研究成果可以為保育策略提供重要方針。
