研究方向

  • 1.繽紛多樣的維管束植物是陸域生態系中最優勢的生物類群,也是人類文明發展之所需。
  • 2.本研究室在系統分類的基礎上研究植物的地理分布、種化機制,以秋海棠屬、小檗屬、及中越邊境石灰岩溶地貌上之苦苣苔科植物等多樣性高的類群為研究材料,以分子親緣分析及次世代定序技術,探究一個半世紀前即已困擾著達爾文的「惱人之謎」。秋海棠屬是開花植物第六大屬,我們與亞洲各國學者合作持續探索秋海棠屬的物種多樣性,重建其親緣關係,解析秋海棠雜交、多倍體化的複雜歷史,以期能建構反映親緣歷史的自然分類。廣義小檗屬植物是真雙子葉植物基群多樣性最高的木本植物類群,是探究全球造山運動與植物快速種化之絕佳素材,也是少數在臺灣山地輻射種化的類群。廣布在中越邊境喀斯特地貌上之石灰岩溶洞穴是許多未知苦苣苔科植物的獨特生境,也是東南亞最岌岌可危的生態系。
  • 3.東亞常見的桑科植物構樹是南島語族製作樹皮布的主要原料,極有可能隨著南島語族遷徙由東亞傳入遠大洋洲島嶼,本研究室持續以構樹之親緣地理追溯南島語族之遷徙歷史,提供支持「出臺灣說」更有利的證據。
