
我的研究領域以西太平洋的珊瑚礁生態系統調查為主,主要關注於造礁珊瑚的繁殖系統以及珊瑚蟲幼體的添入。在這樣的研究基礎下,相信能更進一步的了解西太平洋海域珊瑚的族群數量及群落的動態。現今,在多重的人為擾動下所造成珊瑚礁系統的退化使我們也更加積極地研究及評估有關使珊瑚族群恢復可能的因子及機制。此外,除了有關珊瑚礁的研究,我們團隊也對生活在珊瑚礁生態系的其他物種加以調查。包括了可能危害珊瑚的海綿(Terpios hoshinota)、藻類、海膽、綠蠵龜(Chelonia mydas)及珊瑚礁魚類等,都是我們研究的目標。在現今全球環境的變遷下,我們實驗室以全面性的珊瑚礁系統研究,希望能為面臨嚴峻挑戰的珊瑚礁系統提供有策略的解決方案。
